Wild Holiday Bunch – creative outdoor holiday club for 7-11 years old nature explorers
Now in its fifth consecutive year, Wild Holiday Bunch is ecobirmingham’s popular holiday scheme for children aged 7-11 years old. It provides a safe and supportive environment for children, according to forest school principles, to explore the world at their doorstep and themselves while learning new skills.
Traditionally Wild Holiday Bunch has been delivered at Masefield Community Garden, a RHS Level 5 winning garden in Northfield. In 2018 we additionally delivered at Martineau Gardens in Edgbaston and in 2019, in partnership with Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust, we enjoyed ten wild days at one of their beautiful reserve, Deer’s Leap Woods in North Edgbaston.
This Easter will be back at Masefield Community Garden for four days packed with plenty of sensory activities, exciting games to learn about our wildlife and our environment, fun gardening projects & creative natural crafts.
Examples of past activities involved exploring the site following mysterious trails, using clay to make paint and create amazing artefacts, making our own charcoal pencils and become natural artists, being Native Americans for one day, creating a natural fashion show with the flora available on site, learning about the trees and their legends, story-telling, and much much more…
And naturally there will always be enough time for the ever favourite den-building and camp fire cooking!
Family Wild Bunch – Outdoor quality time for all
